Reading, Writing, and Really Busy

Okay, so I haven’t been posting much lately. The general slowdown in the Internet around these parts thanks to an earthquake in Taiwan had something to do with that. Then there’s work, which has been quite busy. And I can’t neglect to mention the annoying virus my computer got infected with last week. Yeah, that was fun.

But there’s something else that’s kept me from writing: writing.

Yeah, been working on that book I keep talking about. It’s slow going, but at least now it’s slowly taking shape. Now it’s a book embryo, maybe even a book foetus.

What with work being so busy and the fact that I enjoy spending lots of my free time with my family, I don’t have much time to write. So I use it to work on my book, which means I end up neglecting my poor wittle bwog. Awwww, poor wittle bwog. Ahem.

Anyway, I actually entertained the idea of going on hiatus—just leaving my blog for a bit. But I guess I won’t do that. I will, however, slow down considerably, at least for now.

Mom, I will start posting pictures of Al again real soon. Promise. Now that the whole Internet connection thing seems to be sorted out, it should be a little easier.

Even if I don’t post blog entries more than once every week or two, I’d better at least put up pics of Al every few days, otherwise my mother will put a long-distance beating on me.

Anyway, more on the book later. Speaking of which, tomorrow I’ll be reading from my little work-in-progress somewhere in Bangsar, at the invitation of a certain bookaholic. Anyone interested in my little book foetus can follow this link and drop by. A few other people will be doing readings as well, including Amir Muhammad and a few other people I don’t know. Of course, what I read tomorrow will likely change a great deal between then and when I actually finish the book. But it’s all good, this is a chance to get out and meet other writers. Should be interesting.
