Welcome to MACVAYSIA
So what is MacVaysia? It’s a place that’s small enough to fit inside a man’s mind but too big to be confined within the borders of any single country. It’s my own little piece of territory in Cyberspace, a place where I can say what I want to say. It’s a place where you can get to know me, Jordan F. MacVay, a Canadian convert to Islam, born and raised on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, now living in Rawang, Selangor, Malaysia with my beautiful Malaysian wife and our Canadian cat. I’m a Muslim, Caper, Bluenoser, Canuck, native of Sydney, Ashby bum, former Haligonian; mostly Scottish, a bit Irish, a bit French, maybe a tiny bit English, 100% Mat Salleh; a polyglot who speaks English better than most and a few other languages half-arsed; foreigner; expatriate; husband; former army reservist; graduate of Sydney Academy; graduate of Keyin College; former student of UCCB and Dalhousie but a graduate of neither one; former security guard on the Halifax waterfront; former technical support engineer; MCSE with little practical experience but enough know-how to screw with the registry without fear; teacher, manager of a language school; friend of Smokey; regular at Mom’s Cafe, resident of Club Hill Road; a little anxious, a little obsessive, a little distracted, must be the Tourette’s; cancer survivor; amateur genealogist; endless talker who doesn’t know how to keep things short, and…OK, well that’s a bit of who I am. Anyway, welcome again to my home on the ‘Net. Please enjoy your visit to MacVaysia!

Geesh. I hope this blogging thing works out for you. Let us know in five years, will you?

Haha…will do.
When I started this blog at Blogspot I used Haloscan for the comments. Turns out when you hit a limit, Haloscan archives all the old comments; I don’t know if I can get them back. Then, when I transferred everything to Wordpress, all the comments were gone. Nice to have a comment on this first post again!
